The Securities and Exchanges Commission’s (SEC) acting chairman, Mark Uyeda, has launched a crypto task force to develop a regulatory framework for crypto assets. In a Jan. 21 press release , Uyeda announced that Commissioner Hester Peirce will lead the task force. Richard Gabbert and Taylor Asher, Uyeda’s special advisors, will serve as the task force’s Chief of Staff and Chief Policy Advisor, respectively.
