Microstrategy brings bitcoin stash up to 114,000

As of September 12, Microstrategy (NASDAQ:MSTR) discloses the purchase of 8,957 bitcoins for about $420M so far in Q3, or roughly $46.9K per coin. The company now holds just over 114K bitcoins, or about 5K more than it did the last time a disclosure was made on August 24. The average overall purchase price is $27.7K. Helping to fund these buys, MSTR so far this quarter has issued 555K shares via its at-the-market program, raising $400M. Bitcoin (BTC-USD) has dipped a bit since Friday, currently changing hands at $44.8K.
