SafeMoon crypto keeps gaining ahead of wallet drop

DeFi token SafeMoon (SAFEMOON-USD) continues to rise ahead of the release of its wallet Saturday. The crypto is up about 11%, trading at $0.000002871. It has a market cap of around $1.7B. On Twitter, #SAFEMOONSURGE is joining the hashtag #SAFEMOONWALLET, with the wallet set to debut tomorrow at 11 a.m. ET. The wallet will also be able to store Dogecoin (DOGE-USD). In May, Barstool Sports' Dave Portnoy selected SafeMoon as his cryptocurrency of choice, investing $40K. That stake is now worth less than $8K, according to Benzinga. SafeMoon's one-year high is $0.00001399. At the time, Portnoy said he may well be investing in a Ponzi scheme, but he likes the word "moon."
