Hut 8 Mining inks hosting deal for 6.4K ASIC miners

Hut 8 Mining ( NASDAQ: HUT ) said Thursday it inked a hosting deal for ~6.4K ASIC miners previously energized at its North Bay site. The deal includes a three-month initial term, which will renew for successive one-month periods unless terminated by either party. The miners, which are being shipped immediately, are expected to be energized in late July. "Relocating our miners will provide us with ~600 PH/s of additional installed operating capacity," said CEO Jaime Leverton. "Once the machines are energized, our total installed hashrate will increase to approximately 3.2 EH/s." Earlier, Hut 8 ( HUT ) provided an update on its US Bitcoin merger.
