Robinhood announces new media unit led by Verge co-founder Topolsky

Robinhood Markets ( NASDAQ: HOOD ) said Tuesday it is setting up a new media unit - Sherwood Media - that will publish news about markets, economics, business and technology. Sherwood Media will be headed by Joshua Topolsky, co-founder and former editor-in-chief of technology news website The Verge, co-creator of its parent firm Vox Media, and former chief digital content officer at Bloomberg. The company said Sherwood Media will build on the success of its daily financial newsletter Snacks. Sherwood Media will launch new editorial offerings throughout the year that will complement Snacks. The unit will also offer exclusive advertising opportunities with select partners. Earlier, Robinhood ( HOOD ) ended support for Bitcoin SV, sending the coin spiraling .
