MicroStrategy has made its weekly Bitcoin (BTC) purchase, purchasing 2,138 Bitcoins for $209 million in cash. MicroStrategy founder Michael Saylor announced in a statement that the company purchased 2,138 BTC worth $209 million. “MicroStrategy purchased 2,138 BTC for $209 million at a cost of approximately $97,837 and achieved a BTC Return of 47.8% QTD and 74.1% YTD. As of 12/29/2024, we hold 446,400 BTC purchased at an average price of $62,428 for approximately 27.9 billion.” MicroStrategy has been announcing new acquisitions every Monday for the past few weeks.
