Citing Donald Trump’s plan for a Bitcoin reserve for the US, analysts said the price could reach $200,000 by the end of 2025 based solely on demand from institutional investors, excluding potential government purchases. Analysts’ expectations for 2025 include spot Bitcoin ETF net inflows exceeding $70 billion, the stablecoin market exceeding $500 billion, and positive regulatory developments, in addition to the $200,000 estimate for the Bitcoin price. Bernstein analysts led by Gautam Chhugani said that Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are entering the “Age of Eternity” by 2025. Analysts said they expect institutional adoption to continue to grow, doubling spot ETF inflows to $70 billion. Furthermore, analysts said they expect ETF momentum to continue with Bitcoin and Ethereum, but also a potential Solana ETF towards the end of the year. “The US announcement of a national bitcoin reserve will ignite a global race for dominance among nation states to buy bitcoin. Our $200,000 Bitcoin price expectation only takes into account institutional and corporate demand, not government demand. “We expect increased Bitcoin buying via corporate treasuries and Bitcoin ETFs. Therefore, if Bitcoin remains below the sub-$100,000 level for a longer period, BTC will change hands from short-term investors to long-term holders such as MicroStrategy and Bitcoin ETF holders.” Analysts also expect the Securities and Exchange Commission to drop or resolve ongoing lawsuits with crypto companies, allowing more private crypto firms to enter the public market.
