French Regulators Grant Luno a Digital Asset License

On Tuesday, the French regulators gave the crypto trading platform Luno a digital asset service provider (DASP) license. As a result, Luno can now directly serve its customers residing in France. The company revealed it is moving to obtain the optional approval from the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF), France’s stock market regulator. “We believe that regulation is vital in crypto’s path to mass adoption, and our DASP registration represents a key step towards achieving our strategic growth plans,” said Luno CEO and co-founder Marcus Swanepoel. Luno will continue with regulators across the globe for the promotion of the development of new regulatory frameworks. Luno will continue the growth of its portfolio of regulatory permissions around the world.
